Christopher Nkunku emerges as Newcastle target after AC Milan move

French forward Christopher Nkunku is being linked with a move from AC Milan to Newcastle, with the Premier League club reportedly considering a deal for the 28-year-old.

Nkunku joined Milan from Chelsea on 30 August 2025 for €37m and is under contract with the Italian club until 30 June 2030. His current market value is listed at €25m, although there is no indication of an asking price or negotiations between the clubs.

The France and DR Congo international has made 32 Serie A appearances, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. He has also recorded 11 goals in 31 Champions League appearances during his career.

Nkunku’s move to Milan followed two seasons at Chelsea, where he arrived from RB Leipzig in 2023 for €60m. He won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the Conference League with the London club before departing for Serie A.

The forward previously established himself at Leipzig, scoring 47 goals and registering 43 assists in 119 Bundesliga appearances. He was named Footballer of the Year in 2022 and finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in the 2022-23 season with 16 goals.

Newcastle’s reported interest comes with Nkunku settled into a long-term Milan contract, leaving the Italian club in control of his situation should the Premier League link develop further.
