Anis Hadj Moussa rejects €30m Saudi offer with Premier League move in mind

Anis Hadj Moussa has rejected a reported €30m offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli as the Feyenoord winger continues to target a potential move to the Premier League.

According to Algemeen Dagblad, the 24-year-old Algerian personally turned down the approach after Al Ahli expressed their interest in signing him.

Hadj Moussa is reportedly more attracted to the prospect of playing in England and would only consider leaving Feyenoord if an opportunity from a Premier League club emerges.

The winger’s decision means he is currently unwilling to pursue a move to Saudi Arabia, despite the significant financial offer reportedly made by Al Ahli.

Interest from England has previously been linked with Hadj Moussa. Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United were both reported to be monitoring the Feyenoord player, although those reports were subsequently denied.

No English club has yet submitted an offer for the Algeria international.

The uncertainty surrounding his future comes as Hadj Moussa remains part of Feyenoord’s plans. He started the club’s most recent match, helping them secure a 1-0 victory over Sparta Rotterdam.

The winger remained on the pitch until the closing stages before being replaced by Giovanni van Bronckhorst with 10 minutes remaining.

Hadj Moussa joined Feyenoord in 2024 after leaving Belgian club Patro Eisden. The Dutch side paid slightly less than €2m to secure his services at the time.

Since then, the Algerian has continued his development in Rotterdam and is now under contract with Feyenoord until the middle of 2030.

His long-term contract gives the Dutch club a strong position regarding his future, particularly with the winger attracting reported interest from abroad.

For now, Hadj Moussa appears determined to wait for the right opportunity rather than accept a move to Saudi Arabia.

The reported €30m approach from Al Ahli has been rejected, leaving the Algerian focused on Feyenoord while he waits to see whether a Premier League club will make a formal approach.

With no offer currently on the table from England, Hadj Moussa’s future remains unresolved. His preference, however, appears clear: the 24-year-old would favour a move to the Premier League over a switch to Saudi Arabia.
