Wydad star Moses Paniagua linked with move to Hungarian club Ferencvaros

Wydad Athletic Club’s Bolivian forward Moses Paniagua could leave the Moroccan giants during the current transfer window, with Hungarian club Ferencvaros reportedly interested in signing the teenager.

Paniagua’s future has become uncertain following reports from Bolivia that his agent, Silvio Fontana, is currently in Hungary working on a potential move for the 18-year-old.

There has been no official confirmation of negotiations between the clubs or a transfer agreement, meaning the possibility of a move remains subject to further developments.

Ferencvaros reportedly interested

According to Bolivian media reports, Ferencvaros are considering a move for Paniagua as the Hungarian club compete in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League.

The timing could become important if the reported interest develops into formal negotiations, with Ferencvaros currently involved in European competition.

There is also no confirmation that Paniagua’s reported absence from Wydad training is connected to the speculation surrounding his future.

For now, the reports remain unconfirmed, with the player’s next destination dependent on the outcome of discussions involving his representative.

Paniagua made impact in Bolivia

Paniagua joined Wydad in January from Bolivian club Always Ready on a loan deal running until the end of 2026.

He arrived in Morocco after an impressive 2025 campaign in Bolivia, scoring 13 goals in the league and another three in cup competitions.

His 16 goals in 32 matches established him as one of the country’s most promising young players and helped attract Wydad’s interest.

The teenager subsequently began gaining experience in Moroccan and African club football, making seven Botola Pro appearances and five appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup during the 2025-26 season.

Bolivia international’s future remains unclear

Paniagua has also progressed into the Bolivian senior national team after previously representing the country’s youth sides, further enhancing his reputation as one of Bolivia’s emerging talents.

A move to Ferencvaros would offer him the opportunity to test himself in European football, but no agreement has yet been announced.

For now, the young forward remains a Wydad player, with his future set to depend on whether his agent’s reported efforts in Hungary result in a formal transfer or whether Paniagua continues his development with the Moroccan club.
