Gaspar transfer: Lecce defender linked with APOEL Nicosia switch
Gaspar, the Angola international currently playing for Lecce, is being linked with a move to APOEL Nicosia in the Cyprus League.
The 28-year-old centre-back joined Lecce from Estrela Amadora in July 2024 in a transfer reported at €2m and has since established experience in Italian football. He has made 47 Serie A appearances, providing one assist, and has also scored once in four Italy Cup outings.
Gaspar, who stands 1.93m tall and is right-footed, previously spent two seasons with Estrela Amadora after moving from Angolan club Sagrada in 2022. His career also includes nine appearances in the CAF Champions League.
A move to APOEL would represent a change of league for the defender, who remains under contract with Lecce until 30 June 2027. No transfer fee or probability has been specified for the reported interest, while his current market value is listed at €3m.
Gaspar’s existing agreement means any move would require APOEL and Lecce to reach a deal before the defender can leave the Serie A club.
