AS Kasserine add Tunisian midfielder Haythem Khemissi to 2026-27 squad

Tunisia central midfielder Haythem Khemissi has joined AS Kasserine from JS Omrane, completing his move on 14 August 2026.

The 2026-27 switch brings Khemissi back to Avenir Sportif de Kasserine, the club also listed as his national club, after his spell with JS Omrane. He plays primarily in central midfield and becomes part of the AS Kasserine squad for the new campaign.

Khemissi previously joined JS Omrane from Jendouba Sport in July 2024 on a free transfer. He spent the following period with the club before moving on to AS Kasserine this month.

The midfielder has recorded 38 Ligue 1 appearances and scored twice in the competition. He has also made three appearances in the Tunisian Cup, scoring once. His league record includes 1,953 minutes of action, while he played 300 minutes in the cup.

Khemissi’s Ligue 1 figures include an average of 977 minutes per goal, while his Tunisian Cup goal came after 300 minutes on the pitch. Those appearances form the available competitive record attached to his career and provide the statistical background to his move to AS Kasserine.

The transfer takes place as the Tunisian club adds a central midfield player with experience of domestic league and cup football. Khemissi’s previous Ligue 1 involvement came during his time with JS Omrane, where he established the latest stage of his career after arriving from Jendouba Sport.

His listed market value is €125,000, while his highest recorded value has been €150,000. No contract expiry date has been announced for his agreement with AS Kasserine.

Khemissi is the latest link in a sequence of Tunisian club moves that began with his switch from Jendouba Sport to JS Omrane in 2024. Two years later, he has moved again, this time to AS Kasserine.

The 2026-27 transfer was completed on 14 August 2026, with Khemissi joining AS Kasserine from JS Omrane.
