ES Beni Khalled add veteran holding midfielder Oussama Bejaoui
Tunisia midfielder Oussama Bejaoui has joined ES Beni Khalled from Mahdia, bringing a wealth of domestic experience to the club’s midfield.
The 34-year-old plays as a defensive midfielder and is left-footed. Bejaoui stands at 1.85m and has spent much of his career in Tunisian football, representing clubs including CS Sfaxien, Olympique Beja, ES Metlaoui, ES Zarzis, AS Mhamdia, CS Hammam-Lif and Branes.
Bejaoui moved to Mahdia on 6 October 2024 after a period without a club. His latest switch, completed on 13 August 2026, gives ES Beni Khalled an experienced option in the centre of the pitch as they prepare for the new campaign.
He has also played outside Tunisia, featuring for Libyan club Branes before returning to the Tunisian game. His career record includes 62 appearances in Ligue 1, seven in the Ligue I Pro Playoff, 13 in the Libyan Premier League and four in the Tunisian Cup.
Across those recorded competitions, Bejaoui has provided three assists. His Ligue 1 appearances account for the largest share of his top-level experience, with 4,174 minutes played in the competition.
The midfielder began his senior career with CS Sfaxien before joining Olympique Beja in 2013. He then spent time with ES Metlaoui and ES Zarzis, with subsequent spells at AS Mhamdia and CS Hammam-Lif. His move from CS Hammam-Lif to Branes was followed by a return to Tunisia with Mahdia.
Bejaoui has now added ES Beni Khalled to a career that has taken him across several clubs in Tunisia as well as a spell in Libya. His arrival provides the club with an established defensive midfielder whose experience includes top-flight and cup football.
The completed move places Bejaoui at ES Beni Khalled from 13 August 2026.
