Morocco’s Mohamed Chibi crowned Best Right-Back in Egyptian Premier League
Moroccan international Mohamed Chibi has been crowned the Best Right-Back in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2025/2026 season following a public vote involving players from across the Egyptian professional league.
The prestigious individual award, organised under the supervision of the Professional Footballers Association, recognises Chibi’s outstanding performances and consistency for Pyramids FC throughout the campaign.
Chibi emerged as one of the most reliable performers in his position, playing an important role in Pyramids FC’s defensive structure while also contributing significantly to the team’s attacking play.
The Moroccan defender impressed with his ability to combine defensive responsibility with his willingness to support attacks from the right flank. His tactical awareness, physical presence and consistency made him a key component of Pyramids’ backline throughout the season.
His performances were particularly important as Pyramids competed on multiple fronts, with Chibi maintaining a high level of performance despite the demands of a busy campaign.
The award also adds to what has been a highly successful period for the Moroccan international at club level. Chibi played a direct role in Pyramids FC’s Egyptian Cup triumph, helping the club secure victory over Zed FC in the final.
His contribution to that success further underlined his importance to the Egyptian side and strengthened his reputation as one of the leading foreign professionals currently playing in the domestic league.
Chibi’s recognition comes after a season in which he consistently demonstrated his quality and experience, earning the admiration of fellow professionals who participated in the voting process.
The Moroccan international is now expected to officially receive his Best Right-Back award during the Professional Footballers Association’s annual awards ceremony, where the outstanding performers from the 2025/2026 Egyptian football season will be recognised.
For Chibi, the individual honour represents another significant milestone in his career and further confirms his status as one of the standout right-backs in Egyptian football.
