Zineddine Brighet returns to Moroccan football with JS Soualem move

Morocco midfielder Zineddine Brighet has joined JS Soualem, returning to club football after a spell without a club. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder completed the move on 12 August 2026.

Brighet, who was born in El Kelaa des Sraghna, stands at 1.90m and is right-footed. He has joined the Moroccan side after previously being registered with Union Touarga, which he left in September 2025.

Before that departure, Brighet had spent part of the 2025-26 campaign with Beni Mellal, joining the club from Difaa El Jadida on a free transfer in January 2025. His move to Difaa El Jadida followed a spell with the club’s under-21 side.

The midfielder’s recent record includes 17 appearances and one goal in the Botola Pro Inwi, alongside one assist. He also scored once in four Excellence Cup appearances and once in two matches in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine. A further appearance came in the Botola Pro 1 relegation competition.

Brighet’s arrival gives JS Soualem a midfielder with experience across several Moroccan competitions. His playing role is primarily defensive midfield, while his physical profile places him among the taller options in that position.

The move marks the latest step in a career that has included spells with Difaa El Jadida, Beni Mellal and Union Touarga. Brighet joined Beni Mellal without a transfer fee in 2025 after leaving Difaa El Jadida, before subsequently becoming unattached and now linking up with JS Soualem.

He joins a club also known as Jeunesse Sportive de Soualem, with the transfer recorded on 12 August. Brighet’s previous highest recorded market value was €75,000, although no current valuation is attached to the move.

His arrival comes at the age of 23, with Brighet bringing recent competitive experience from league, cup and relegation fixtures in Morocco. The midfielder has now completed his move from an unattached status to JS Soualem.
