Ittihad Alex secure Mahmoud Emad on loan for 2026-27 season
Egypt midfielder Mahmoud Emad has joined Ittihad Alex on loan from Bank El Ahly, returning to the Alexandria club for the 2026-27 campaign.
The 28-year-old defensive midfielder completed the move on 12 August 2026, with the loan scheduled to run until 30 June 2027. Emad previously spent part of the 2025-26 season with Ittihad Alex before returning to Bank El Ahly when that temporary agreement ended on 30 June.
Emad’s latest switch keeps him in Egypt’s Premier League, where he has made 106 appearances during his career. He has scored once and provided one assist in the competition, while also featuring in domestic cup and play-off matches.
The right-footed midfielder began his senior career with Telecom Egypt SC before moving to Petrojet in January 2018. He joined Pharco FC from Petrojet in August 2021, then moved to Bank El Ahly in July 2025 in a permanent transfer. His first spell at Ittihad Alex followed a loan move in February 2026.
Emad’s return gives Ittihad Alex a player with experience of the club and of the Egyptian top flight. He stands 1.80m tall and is listed primarily as a defensive midfielder.
His move back to Ittihad Alex comes after Bank El Ahly temporarily recalled him at the end of his previous loan, before the clubs agreed a new arrangement for the forthcoming season. The transfer history records the latest deal as a loan, with no permanent fee attached to the move.
Emad’s current market value is listed at €450,000, matching the highest figure recorded for him. He will remain an Ittihad Alex player on loan until 30 June 2027.
