Manchester United enquire about Eduardo Camavinga

Eduardo Camavinga’s future at Real Madrid is attracting renewed attention, with Manchester United reportedly exploring a possible move for the French midfielder.

The 23-year-old remains under contract with Madrid until June 2029, and his agreement includes a €1 billion release clause.

Despite his long-term commitment, Camavinga’s position in the team has become less secure. The former Rennes player has lost his regular starting role, while José Mourinho’s arrival as Madrid coach could make his situation even more complicated. The midfielder’s decision to stay in the Spanish capital has therefore not stopped leading European clubs from monitoring developments.

According to The Athletic, Manchester United have already made initial enquiries about Camavinga’s contractual situation. The Premier League side reportedly sees him as a potential rival for Luke Shaw and believes his technical quality, defensive ability and versatility could strengthen the squad.

United finished third in the Premier League last season and are looking to improve their options before the new campaign begins. Camavinga’s ability to operate in midfield or at left-back makes him particularly attractive to the English club.

However, Madrid’s demanding valuation and the player’s contract mean negotiations would be extremely difficult. For now, United’s interest remains exploratory, while Camavinga must decide whether to fight for his place or consider a fresh challenge.
