Osasuna complete €3m deal for Ghanaian defender Rockson Yeboah

Osasuna have completed the signing of Ghanaian centre-back Rockson Yeboah from Swedish club IFK Goteborg in a transfer worth €3 million.

The 22-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with the La Liga club, keeping him in Pamplona until June 2031.

The Swedish club will retain 30 percent of any profit made from a future sale, while Yeboah’s new contract includes a €30 million release clause. He is expected to arrive in Pamplona shortly, where he will join head coach Luis Miguel Ramis’ squad before Osasuna begin their La Liga campaign.

Born in Berekum, Ghana, on August 2, 2004, Yeboah has built a reputation as an athletic and commanding defender. Standing 1.90 metres tall, he combines physical presence with impressive pace, having recorded a top speed of 34.96 kilometres per hour.

His figures with Goteborg underline his defensive strengths. During the current season, he won 74.67 percent of defensive duels and 77.42 percent of aerial battles. He made 44 senior appearances for the Swedish club and scored twice.

Yeboah’s arrival gives Osasuna another powerful option at centre-back as the club prepares for an important season in Spain’s top division. His official presentation will take place in the coming days.
