Morocco teenager Mayssa Baha earns Barcelona first-team call-up at 15

Moroccan teenager Mayssa Baha has earned a call-up to train with Barcelona Femeni’s first team at just 15, marking another major step in the young forward’s rapid development.

Baha has been included in the senior squad’s pre-season preparations after impressing in Barcelona’s youth ranks, where her performances have continued to underline her potential.

The teenager’s mother, Farah Farabian, announced the news as Baha prepares to train alongside some of the leading players in women’s football.

Young Morocco international making rapid progress

Baha has already gained valuable experience on the international stage despite her young age.

She represented Morocco at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on home soil, becoming the youngest player at the tournament at 14.

The forward made an immediate impact, scoring twice in Morocco’s 3-1 win over Costa Rica as the Atlas Lionesses secured their place in the round of 16.

Baha is the daughter of former Morocco international Nabil Baha and has continued to build her reputation since moving through Barcelona’s youth system.

Standout performer in Barcelona’s academy

Her progress in Spain has been particularly notable.

Earlier this year, Baha scored twice for the Catalonia U16 regional team in a 6-1 semi-final victory over the Valencian Community in Spain’s regional championship.

Her performances at youth level have now earned her an opportunity to work with Barcelona’s senior women’s team during pre-season.

The call-up is not confirmation that Baha will make her competitive first-team debut immediately, but it gives the Moroccan teenager an opportunity to gain experience alongside established stars at one of Europe’s leading women’s clubs.
