SK Beveren bring in dual-national striker Elohim Kabore from Hammarby on loan

Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast striker Elohim Kabore has joined Belgian club SK Beveren on loan from Hammarby, completing a move that will keep the 19-year-old at the Jupiler Pro League side until 30 June 2027.

Kabore, a centre-forward who prefers his right foot, moves to Belgium after making eight appearances in the 2026 Allsvenskan campaign for Hammarby. He did not score in those matches, while also featuring once in Europa League qualifying.

The forward’s loan switch was completed on 12 August 2026 and gives SK Beveren a young attacking option for the remainder of the 2026-27 season. His deal includes a scheduled return to Hammarby at the end of the loan on 30 June 2027.

Kabore joined Hammarby from Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas in January 2025, with the Swedish side paying €780,000 for his services. Before moving into ASEC’s senior squad, he played for Mimosas Under-19s.

Standing 1.80 metres tall, Kabore has been used as a central striker throughout his club career. His appearances for Hammarby this season have come mainly as a substitute, with 13% of his Allsvenskan outings listed as starts and 14% of available minutes played.

He was also involved in Hammarby’s European qualifying campaign, making an appearance in the Europa League qualifiers. The Swedish club additionally had a place in the qualifying stages of the UEFA Conference League during the same period.

Kabore’s arrival at SK Beveren adds Belgian football to a career that has already taken him from the Mimosas youth set-up to senior football in Ivory Coast and then Sweden. He will now continue the 2026-27 campaign in Belgium under a loan agreement lasting through to the end of June.

The transfer was completed with Kabore leaving Hammarby for SK Beveren on 12 August 2026, with the striker due to return to his Swedish club when the loan ends.
