Rabby Nzingoula joins West Brom from Strasbourg

Rabby Nzingoula has officially left RC Strasbourg to begin a new chapter with West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old midfielder, developed through Strasbourg’s academy, will continue his career in England’s Championship after the clubs reached an agreement on a permanent transfer.

Nzingoula still had a contract with Strasbourg until 2027, but the French club agreed to allow him to depart before its expiry. He has reportedly signed a three-year deal with West Brom, keeping him at The Hawthorns until 2029, with an additional season included as an option.

The move follows two productive loan spells designed to give the young midfielder regular senior football. During the 2024-25 campaign, Nzingoula played for Montpellier in Ligue 2, making 27 appearances and gaining valuable experience in a competitive environment.

He then spent the 2025-26 season with German side Nuremberg in the 2. Bundesliga, where he featured 15 times. Those experiences helped him mature and prepare for the demands of English football.

West Brom now offers Nzingoula the opportunity to establish himself abroad and compete for a leading role in the Championship. For Strasbourg, his transfer marks the end of a carefully managed development journey that began within the club’s own ranks.
