Abdallah El Said asks to end Zamalek contract by mutual consent

Zamalek midfielder Abdallah El Said has requested the Egyptian club terminate his contract by mutual consent, according to his agent.

El Said’s representative, Abdel Hady Mohamed, told FilGoal.com: “We have submitted a request to terminate Abdallah El Said’s contract with Zamalek by mutual consent.”

The player’s lawyer is now in contact with Zamalek as both parties attempt to agree the final terms, Mohamed added.

“ The player’s lawyer is communicating with the club in order to reach a final formula,” he said.

El Said, who is contracted to Zamalek until the summer of 2027, has continued to miss the club’s training sessions as the team prepares for the new season.

He was expected to return to training after completing a holiday in Greece. However, despite returning from the country, he has not yet rejoined his team-mates.

A source close to the player previously told FilGoal.com that El Said had been given several assurances that his outstanding payments would be settled.

“The player received more than one promise to receive his overdue payments, but only a very small part of them was paid, and he is waiting to receive the rest of his dues,” the source said.

El Said played a part in Zamalek winning the Egyptian League title last season.

Zamalek are currently holding a pre-season training camp in the New Capital, with the club preparing for the start of the new campaign.

The club also announced its technical, administrative and medical staff for the first-team squad for the upcoming season.

Moataz Gamal will remain as head coach, while Abdel Nasser Mohamed will continue in the role of football director.

Salah Soliman has joined the new coaching staff as an assistant coach. Nuno Costa Ribeiro will also continue as the team’s fitness coach.

Fabio Ferreira has been appointed as the club’s new performance analyst, replacing Fabio Nuno, who worked with the team last season.

Mohamed Osama has returned to lead the medical department after spending the previous season away from the club.

Zamalek will begin their Egyptian League campaign against Al Ittihad Alexandria on Friday, 21 August. The match will be played at Cairo International Stadium.
