Senegal goalkeeper Vincent Gomis joins FC Metz B from Generation Foot
Senegal goalkeeper Vincent Gomis has joined FC Metz B from Generation Foot, completing a move to the French club at the age of 18.
Gomis, who plays as a goalkeeper, switches clubs on 11 August 2026 and becomes part of an FC Metz B side competing in National 2 – Group E. The move takes the teenager from Generation Foot to the reserve team of the French club.
Born on 7 February 2008, Gomis stands 1.80m tall and is the only nationality listed for the player. His arrival adds a young Senegalese goalkeeper to FC Metz B’s squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Gomis joined Generation Foot at the start of 2026 after progressing from Generation U20. He had moved into the Under-20 side from Generation U17 in July 2024, giving him a clear progression through the club’s youth structure before his switch to FC Metz B.
His move follows a route through three stages of the Generation system. He began with Generation U17, stepped up to Generation U20, and then joined Generation Foot in January 2026. Eight months later, he completed his move to FC Metz B.
The transfer was registered on 11 August 2026, with Gomis moving directly from Generation Foot to FC Metz B. His new club competes in France’s National 2 – Group E, while his previous side is listed in Senegal’s Ligue 1 structure.
At 18, Gomis arrives with his development to date having taken place at Generation’s youth and senior levels. His latest move marks his first recorded switch from the Senegalese club to a team in France.
Gomis is now an FC Metz B player after completing his move from Generation Foot.
