Yared Yemane: Ethiopia left-back joins Kidus Giorgis from Ethio Electric

Ethiopia left-back Yared Yemane has joined Kidus Giorgis from Ethio Electric, completing a move between two Premier League clubs.

The 24-year-old made the switch on 11 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Kidus Giorgis that runs until 30 June 2028.

Yemane moves after his spell with Ethio Electric, where he was part of a club competing in Ethiopia’s top flight. His arrival at Kidus Giorgis keeps him in the Premier League while giving the club a new option in the left-back position.

Born on 24 March 2002, Yemane is an Ethiopia international by nationality and plays primarily as a defender on the left side. His move represents a change of club rather than a move abroad, with both Ethio Electric and Kidus Giorgis based in Ethiopia.

Kidus Giorgis are now the latest club listed for the defender, who joined the side on the opening day of his new contract. The agreement gives the club control of his registration for the next two seasons, subject to its stated expiry date in June 2028.

Yemane’s market value is listed at €175,000, although no transfer fee has been disclosed for the move. The available details do not include a breakdown of the agreement beyond his transfer from Ethio Electric to Kidus Giorgis.
