Zulte Waregem weigh move for Nigeria midfielder John Kolawole

Nigeria midfielder John Kolawole is being linked with a move from Esbjerg fB to Belgian club Zulte Waregem.

The 22-year-old central midfielder currently plays in Denmark’s 1.Division, while Zulte Waregem compete in the Jupiler Pro League. Kolawole joined Esbjerg on 1 September 2025 and has since emerged as a potential target for the Belgian side.

Kolawole’s current market value is listed at €300,000, although no transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumour. He is right-footed and stands 1.78m tall.

The Nigeria-born player was born on 24 July 2004 and remains under contract with Esbjerg until 30 June 2029. Any move to Zulte Waregem would therefore involve a player who is not approaching the end of his current deal.
