In spite of deploying a deferential starting lineup different from the one featured in the first leg of the Confederation Cup semi-final, TP Mazembe clinched the Congo Super Cup trophy this Saturday against FC MK with a commanding 7-0 victory.
The offensive showcase for Tout Puissant Mazembe commenced in the 21st minute through Thomas Ulimwengu, with Ghanaian Gladson Awako contributing four assists, the first of which led to Ulimwengu’s goal. Awako continued his stellar performance, providing the second assist to compatriot Daniel Adje, resulting in a 2-0 score at halftime.
The second half witnessed a role reversal for the two Ghanaians, as Awako set up Mazembe’s third goal in the 50th minute and the fifth in the 66th minute, with Adje converting both opportunities. Prior to these goals, Richard Kisi Boateng secured the 4-0 lead. Hervé NDonga and Jonas Sakuawaha added their goals to conclude the impressive TM Mazembe festival.
