AmaZulu re-sign Siphesihle Maduna after TS Galaxy departure

AmaZulu FC have completed the signing of Siphesihle Maduna on a free transfer following his departure from TS Galaxy, iDiski Times has learnt.

The midfielder returns to AmaZulu after two seasons with TS Galaxy, where he rebuilt his form and made 55 appearances, scoring once. He joined the club at the start of the 2024/25 campaign, also on a free transfer.

Maduna’s move to TS Galaxy came after his previous club, Cape Town Spurs, were relegated from the top flight at the end of the 2023/24 season. Before linking up with Cape Town Spurs, he had established himself in the AmaZulu FC first team over six seasons.

During that first spell with AmaZulu FC, Maduna played 86 matches and scored seven goals. His return gives the club an experienced option in an attacking midfield area they are looking to strengthen as they prepare to build on last season’s fourth-place finish in the Betway Premiership.

The 2026/27 campaign will therefore begin with Maduna back at the club where he made a significant number of his senior appearances. His time at TS Galaxy provided regular first-team football, while his earlier period at AmaZulu FC means he is already familiar with the club.

Maduna is the latest player to join AmaZulu FC as the club continues to add to its squad. He arrives alongside Neo Mokoena, Omega Mdaka, Khomotjo Lekoloane, Mncedi Vandala, Keenan Phillips, Gape Moralo, Faveur Kouassi and Moses Shumah.

The signing also marks a return to Usuthu for Maduna, who left the club after six seasons with the first team before moving to Cape Town Spurs. He subsequently spent two campaigns with TS Galaxy, where his performances helped him rediscover the form that had made him an important part of AmaZulu FC’s midfield group.

AmaZulu FC finished fourth last season and are now adding depth ahead of their next Betway Premiership campaign. Maduna’s ability to operate in attacking midfield is expected to provide further quality in that part of the squad.

His career record at AmaZulu FC includes seven goals in 86 appearances, while he contributed one goal across 55 matches during his two-season spell with TS Galaxy.

Maduna’s return was completed without a transfer fee after his exit from TS Galaxy.
