PSG agree €35m deal for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly reached a full agreement with Parma for the signing of Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.

The transfer is understood to be worth €35 million, marking a significant investment in the 23-year-old despite PSG already having Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier in their squad.

Suzuki has impressed with his performances for Japan and recently enjoyed a strong World Cup campaign. Although his contract with Parma was due to run until June 2029, the goalkeeper has agreed to join PSG on a five-year contract lasting until 2031.

However, Suzuki may not immediately begin life in Paris. A loan move to Juventus is reportedly being discussed, allowing him to continue his development while gaining regular playing time in Italy. Talks between PSG and Juventus have improved in recent months, particularly after Randal Kolo Muani’s transfer, and Suzuki could become another link between the clubs.

“La Stampa confirms the definitive agreement between PSG and Parma for Suzuki: a €35m transfer. Discussions are ongoing regarding a possible loan with Juventus,” the Italian publication reported.

The arrangement would give Suzuki valuable experience while PSG plan his long-term future. Juventus, meanwhile, could secure a talented goalkeeper without committing immediately to a permanent transfer.
