Mansour Ouro-Tagba joins VfL Bochum from Cologne reserve side

Togo and United States forward Mansour Ouro-Tagba has joined VfL Bochum from 1. FC Koln II, moving into Germany’s 2. Bundesliga after playing in the Regionalliga West.

The 21-year-old centre-forward has signed a contract with Bochum running until 30 June 2030. He will wear the club’s colours after completing the move on 10 August 2026.

Ouro-Tagba arrives from 1. FC Koln II, the reserve team of 1. FC Koln, which competes in the Regionalliga West. His switch to Bochum represents a move from Germany’s regional fourth tier to the country’s second level, placing him in a different competitive environment for the next stage of his career.

Born in New York City on 17 December 2004, Ouro-Tagba holds Togo and United States nationality. He is listed at 1.91m and operates as a centre-forward, with his right foot recorded as his preferred foot.

The striker’s arrival adds a young attacking player to Bochum’s squad as the club competes in the 2. Bundesliga. His previous club was based in the Regionalliga West, while Bochum’s first team is competing at a higher level in German football.

Ouro-Tagba’s new contract keeps him at the club through the end of June 2030, giving Bochum a long-term agreement with the forward. His move was registered on 10 August 2026, when he became a VfL Bochum player.

The signing also marks the next step for a player whose recorded senior club history has been centred on 1. FC Koln II. At Bochum, he joins a side competing in the 2. Bundesliga and will continue his development as a central striker within the club’s squad.
