MB Rouissat sign Algerian right-back Zahreddine Benabda on a free transfer

Algerian right-back Zahreddine Benabda has joined MB Rouissat from MC El Bayadh on a free transfer, strengthening the Ligue 1 club’s defensive options.

The move was completed on 10 August 2026, with Benabda arriving at MB Rouissat after his spell with MC El Bayadh. The 28-year-old plays primarily at right-back and is right-footed.

Benabda was born in Guelma on 30 November 1997 and has represented Algeria at club level throughout his career. His arrival takes him into Ligue 1 with MB Rouissat, while he leaves MC El Bayadh without a transfer fee being paid for his services.

The new signing brings experience in a defensive position to a club competing in Algeria’s top division. Benabda’s role is defined as a defender and right-back, giving MB Rouissat an established option on the right side of their defence.

His move was recorded alongside a market valuation of €225,000, although the transfer itself was completed without a fee. No contract expiry date has been announced for his agreement with MB Rouissat.

Benabda’s switch represents a direct move between Algerian clubs, with MC El Bayadh his previous team and MB Rouissat his new employers. The transfer also marks the latest step in the career of a player whose principal position has remained on the right side of defence.

MB Rouissat have now completed the signing of Zahreddine Benabda, who joined the club on 10 August 2026.
