Mwalimu heads to Tanzania to join Simba SC ahead of Community Shield

Mwalimu has left Casablanca and is now travelling to Tanzania to join Simba SC ahead of their Community Shield clash against arch-rivals Yanga.

The player is expected to travel from Casablanca via Doha before connecting to Dar es Salaam.

From the Tanzanian capital, Mwalimu will then make his way to Zanzibar, where Simba are set to face Yanga in the Community Shield on 12 August.

His arrival comes as Simba step up preparations for one of the most anticipated fixtures on the Tanzanian football calendar, with the traditional rivals set to renew their rivalry in Zanzibar.

Mwalimu’s journey is expected to see him link up with the Simba squad ahead of the encounter, although the timing of his arrival could influence his involvement in the match.
