Saber Khlifa made the move to Olympique de Marseille this summer from Evian-Thonon Gaillard. Despite being considered a luxury substitute at Marseille, the Tunisian striker has no regrets about his decision.
He acknowledged the increased expectations and pressure playing for a prestigious club like Marseille compared to his time at Evian. Khlifa shared his satisfaction, stating, “Frankly, I’m very happy at a big club like Marseille, but for me, the main thing is to play to progress. From this point of view, it’s better to be a starter in a more modest club, like I was at Evian-Thonon-Gaillard, rather than staying on the bench in a bigger one. So that’s my ambition in Marseille. I don’t regret my choice, and I hope to become a starter.”
Despite limited playing time, with 190 minutes since the start of the season in all competitions, Khlifa remains hopeful about earning a more prominent role at Marseille. His contributions will be eagerly anticipated in the upcoming match between Tunisia and Cameroon during the first leg of the World Cup play-offs for Brazil 2014
