Hussein Ammouta blocks Yasser Ibrahim exit as Al Ahly fight to keep defensive leader

Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta has made it clear that Al Ahly defender Yasser Ibrahim will not leave the club during the current summer transfer window, insisting the Egypt international remains a key part of his plans.

The Al Ahly head coach has rejected the possibility of the experienced centre-back departing amid reported interest from Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab and other clubs offering improved financial terms.

Ammouta believes losing Ibrahim would create a major defensive problem for the Egyptian giants as they prepare for the new season.

Reports in Egypt indicate that Yasser Ibrahim has attracted official interest from Al Shabab, with the Saudi club among those monitoring his situation.

Ammouta insists on retaining key figure
