Al Ahly’s Egyptian striker Emad Meteb is set to miss the first leg of the African Champions League semi-finals against Sunshine Stars of Nigeria due to hip pain. Despite regular medications, Meteb’s condition has not improved, and he is expected to undergo laser treatment. The 29-year-old, who recently returned from a back injury, was on the bench for Al Ahly in their last group match against Zamalek. His absence will be a significant setback for the team, which is already without midfielder Mohammed Abou Trika, who is serving a two-month suspension imposed by the club. Al Ahly will face Sunshine Stars in Nigeria on October 6 for the semi-final clash.
