Maghnes Akliouche set for PSG move after scheduled medical

Maghnes Akliouche is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, with his medical now scheduled in Paris as the final step before a long-expected transfer is confirmed.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, under contract with AS Monaco until 2028 and already capped by France, has been a priority target for PSG throughout the 2026 summer window.

Talks between the two clubs dragged on, even though finding an agreement with the player himself was described as straightforward. According to RMC Sport, Akliouche is due in Paris this Thursday to undergo his medical, ahead of signing a five-year deal with the French champions. Barring an unexpected issue in the tests, the move should be completed quickly.

The fee is expected to be around 50 million euros, a significant outlay but one that PSG view as justified by Akliouche’s talent and impact in big matches, including previous performances against Paris.

For Luis Enrique, he brings vision, technical quality and versatility, fitting the coach’s preference for intelligent, multi-purpose attackers. The challenge will be adapting to PSG’s pressure and fierce competition for places, but the club believes his development curve and mindset give him every chance to thrive at Parc des Princes.
