FC Nürnberg set €20m price tag for Burkina Faso striker Mohamed Alì Zoma

German second-tier side 1. FC Nürnberg have made it clear that Mohamed Alì Zoma will not leave the club unless they receive a significant transfer offer, with the striker reportedly valued at around €20 million.

The Franconian club are determined to protect one of their most valuable assets after the Burkina Faso international enjoyed an impressive debut season, quickly becoming one of the standout players in their squad.

Nuremberg supervisory board chairman Peter Meier revealed that only an exceptional offer would convince the club to consider selling the 22-year-old forward.

Nuremberg demand major fee for rising star

“When you see the prices that VfL Wolfsburg, for example, demands for players, we don’t need to hide with Zoma,” Meier told Nuremberg News, referring to a possible valuation of around €20 million.

The German club have pointed to the situation involving Wolfsburg striker Dzenan Pejcinovic as an example, with reports suggesting Wolfsburg would not accept less than €25 million for the forward amid interest from VfB Stuttgart.

That stance has strengthened Nuremberg’s negotiating position as clubs begin to monitor Zoma’s availability.

Breakthrough season increases interest

Zoma made an immediate impact after joining Nuremberg, scoring 14 goals and providing five assists during his first season with the club.

His performances have seen his reputation grow, with the striker emerging as one of the most valuable players in the squad.

The Burkina Faso forward is also tied to Nuremberg until 2029, giving the club further control over his future and allowing them to demand a premium fee for any potential transfer.
