Antoine Mendy on the radar of Crystal Palace

Senegal international Antoine Mendy has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League side Crystal Palace, with the London club reportedly monitoring his situation at OGC Nice.

According to reports, Palace have been impressed by the profile of the 22-year-old Senegal international, who has already earned seven caps for his country. The Eagles have developed a strong interest in the French market in recent transfer windows and are now considering a move for the versatile defender.

However, Palace are not alone in the race for Mendy’s signature. Italian Serie A clubs ACF Fiorentina and Udinese Calcio are also said to be tracking the player as they look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season.

The growing interest could provide a major financial boost for Nice, who are looking to raise funds during the summer transfer window. The Ligue 1 side are reportedly prepared to listen to offers and have placed a valuation of at least €15 million on the defender.

Mendy, a product of the Nice academy, has developed into an important member of the first-team squad after breaking into senior football. He enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, making 40 appearances across all competitions and starting 24 of the 25 Ligue 1 matches in which he featured.

With his age, international experience and consistent performances in France’s top flight, Mendy has attracted attention from several European clubs, and Nice could benefit from a potential bidding war for one of their most promising defensive talents.
