FCE MA strengthen midfield with French-Moroccan player Mohamed Tariqui
French-Moroccan midfielder Mohamed Tariqui has joined FCE MA from Trelissac FC on a free transfer, giving the National 2 club a new option in defensive midfield.
The 24-year-old completed the move on 4 August 2026 after one season with Trelissac. He had arrived at the club from Stade Bordelais in July 2025, also on a free transfer, and now moves on following a campaign in which both clubs competed in National 2 Group A.
Tariqui’s career record includes 58 National 2 appearances and seven goals, along with four Coupe de France appearances. He has also played twice in the Coupe Gambardella, scoring once in the competition.
A right-footed midfielder, Tariqui stands 1.84m tall and was born in Pessac. His playing history began with Merignac’s under-19 side before he moved into senior football with Merignac. He joined Stade Bordelais in 2022 and spent three seasons there before switching to Trelissac.
His arrival adds experience of National 2 football to the FCE MA squad. Tariqui’s record in the division includes 25 appearances and four goals in one campaign, followed by a further 22 matches and three goals in another, as well as 11 appearances in an earlier National 2 group.
FCE MA have secured the midfielder without a transfer fee, continuing Tariqui’s sequence of moves between French clubs conducted at no cost. There is no contract expiry date attached to the move.
Tariqui’s switch from Trelissac FC to FCE MA was completed on 4 August 2026.
