Emmanuel Emeka Douglas brings Nigerian midfield presence to SSC Sudwest
Nigeria midfielder Emmanuel Emeka Douglas has joined Germany-based club SSC Sudwest on a free transfer, adding a 27-year-old central midfielder to their squad.
Douglas completed the move on 5 August 2026. He is listed as a central midfielder and is naturally right-footed, giving SSC Sudwest a player whose primary role is in the middle of the pitch.
The Abuja-born player has already featured twice in the Berlin-Liga, recording 47 minutes of action. Those appearances form part of his early involvement with the club following his arrival.
Douglas stands at 1.79m and represents Nigeria at nationality level. His move to SSC Sudwest marks a return to club football in Germany after his previous recorded spell with Novi Pazar/Mar. ended in 2022.
He joined Novi Pazar/Mar. in June 2022 on a free transfer and left the club the following month, before making his latest switch to SSC Sudwest without a fee. No contract expiry date has been announced for his new agreement.
SSC Sudwest have secured Douglas at no transfer cost as he begins the next stage of his career in the Berlin-Liga. The 27-year-old Nigerian midfielder’s completed move was registered on 5 August 2026.
