FC Metz eye Senegal teenager Ibrahima Sow in Generation Foot transfer rumour

Senegal midfielder Ibrahima Sow, who plays for Generation Foot, has been linked with a move to French Ligue 2 club FC Metz.

The 17-year-old central midfielder is the subject of reported transfer interest from Metz, with the possible move emerging on 5 August. No transfer has been confirmed.

Sow was born in Dakar and joined Generation Foot from the club’s under-17 side on 19 October 2023. He has made seven Ligue 1 appearances for the Senegalese club, playing a total of 166 minutes, and has also featured once in the CAF Confederation Cup.

He was part of the Senegal Under-17 team that won the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023.

Sow is right-footed and stands 1.73m tall. His current recorded market value is €10,000, although that figure does not indicate the terms of any potential deal with Metz.

Generation Foot have produced several players who have moved into European football, but the available details do not confirm whether negotiations with Metz have taken place or whether a fee has been agreed.

Sow remains a Generation Foot player, with no transfer completed and no confirmed change to his contractual status.
