Stuttgart eye Fenerbahce’s €18m Guinea striker Sidiki Cherif

Guinea striker Sidiki Cherif is the subject of a reported move from Fenerbahce to Stuttgart, with the Bundesliga club linked with a deal for the 19-year-old centre-forward.

Cherif joined Fenerbahce permanently from Angers SCO on 1 July after an initial loan spell at the Turkish club during the second half of the 2025-26 season. The permanent transfer was valued at €18m, matching his current listed market value.

The teenager has made one appearance for Fenerbahce in Champions League qualifying this season, featuring without scoring or assisting. He has not started a match in the competition.

Cherif’s reported contract with Fenerbahce runs until 30 June 2030, giving the Super Lig club a long-term commitment to the striker should Stuttgart attempt to negotiate a transfer.

The reported likelihood of the move is currently assessed at 9%, meaning the link remains at an early stage and there is no indication that an agreement has been reached. Stuttgart have nevertheless been named as the Bundesliga side interested in taking Cherif from Fenerbahce.

Cherif began his senior career with Angers, progressing through the French club’s youth system before moving to Fenerbahce on loan in February 2026. He returned to Angers at the end of that loan before completing the permanent switch to Istanbul in July.

For now, the Guinean forward remains a Fenerbahce player under contract through 2030.
