J-Sodra IF sign Swedish-Senegalese striker Marokhy Ndione on free-agent move
Swedish-Senegalese centre-forward Marokhy Ndione has joined J-Sodra IF, adding a 26-year-old striker to the Ettan Sodra club’s squad after his spell without a club.
Ndione has signed a contract running until 31 December 2026. He arrives following his departure from Finnish side AC Oulu, whom he joined from Romanian club FC U Craiova on a free transfer in February 2025.
The 1.92m forward has played across Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Portugal and Romania during his career. He began in the Boras AIK and IF Elfsborg youth systems before progressing into senior football with Elfsborg.
Ndione made 49 Allsvenskan appearances and scored six goals, while also registering two assists. His record in European competition includes five goals and one assist in nine UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying appearances.
His most prolific spell came at youth level. Ndione scored 23 goals in 20 U19 Allsvenskan Sodra appearances and finished as the competition’s top scorer in the 2016-17 season with 22 goals. He also scored three times in five U21 Allsvenskan Slutspelet appearances.
After leaving Elfsborg, Ndione spent time on loan at Orgryte before joining Viborg FF in January 2022. He later moved to Portuguese club Feirense on loan during the 2023-24 season, returning to Viborg at the end of that campaign.
Ndione then joined FC U Craiova in September 2024 before switching to AC Oulu five months later. He left the Finnish club at the start of 2026 and has now returned to Sweden with J-Sodra IF.
The striker is eligible to represent both Sweden and Senegal and is right-footed. His move to J-Sodra IF was completed on 4 August 2026, with his contract securing his place at the club through the end of the year.
