Everton consider move for Leverkusen’s Cameroon forward Christian Kofane
Cameroon forward Christian Kofane, who currently plays for Leverkusen, has been linked with a move to Everton.
The 20-year-old centre-forward joined Leverkusen from Albacete in July 2025 in a deal worth €5.25m. He has since made 29 Bundesliga appearances, scoring five goals and providing five assists.
Kofane has also featured in the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal, taking his senior club record for Leverkusen to 44 appearances, seven goals and nine assists across the competitions listed.
The forward began his senior career with Albacete after moving from the club’s under-19 side, having previously played for AS Nylon. His performances have seen his market value rise to €40m, compared with €5m when he joined Leverkusen.
Everton’s interest comes with Kofane established at a club competing in the Bundesliga and holding a long-term agreement in Germany. His contract with Leverkusen runs until 30 June 2029, meaning any potential move would involve negotiations over a transfer fee rather than a free transfer.
No probability has been attached to the reported link, and the information currently identifies the move only as a rumour. Kofane remains a Leverkusen player under contract through the end of the 2028-29 season.
