Celta de Vigo add dual-national winger Vlad on loan from Pacos Ferreira
Portugal and Guinea-Bissau winger Vlad has joined Celta de Vigo from Pacos Ferreira on a loan deal, giving the 17-year-old left winger his first move to Spain.
Vlad made the switch on 4 August 2026 and will remain with the LaLiga club until 30 June 2027. He is contracted to Celta for the 2026-27 campaign after moving from Pacos Ferreira, who play in Portugal’s Liga 3.
The teenager spent last season with Pacos Ferreira’s senior side after progressing from the club’s Under-19 team. He made 26 appearances in Liga Portugal 2 during the 2025-26 season, scoring once and providing one assist. He also featured twice in the Taca de Portugal, playing a further 60 minutes.
Vlad joined Pacos Ferreira’s Under-19 squad from their Under-17s in July 2024, having previously been part of the club’s Under-15 setup. His move to Celta represents the next step in a progression that has taken him from youth football into the Portuguese professional game.
Born in Bissau on 19 March 2009, Vlad is 1.74m tall and favours his left foot. His primary position is on the left wing, where he has played during his time in Pacos Ferreira’s senior and youth teams.
Celta de Vigo compete in LaLiga, while Pacos Ferreira’s first team is listed in Liga 3 for the 2026-27 season. The transfer therefore takes Vlad into a different domestic league and moves him from Portugal to Spain for the duration of the loan.
The agreement also includes a scheduled return to Pacos Ferreira at the end of the spell. Vlad’s loan at Celta de Vigo ends on 30 June 2027.
