Concarneau bring in Mauritania-France centre-back Demba Yatera from Tubize-Braine

Mauritania-France defender Demba Yatera has joined Concarneau from Belgian club Tubize-Braine, giving the Ligue 3 side a new option at centre-back.

The transfer was completed on 4 August 2026, with Yatera moving to France after his time in Belgium’s 1ste Nationale FFA. The 24-year-old’s arrival marks a change of club and league as he begins the next stage of his career with Concarneau.

Yatera’s listed position is centre-back, placing him in the defensive group at a club competing in France’s Ligue 3. His move brings him into a new footballing environment after representing Tubize-Braine, whose league is part of the Belgian football structure.

The defender holds Mauritanian and French nationality. That background connects his career to both countries as he continues his professional development in France, where Concarneau will become his latest club.

Tubize-Braine are the only previous club identified in connection with the transfer. Yatera now leaves the Belgian side for Concarneau, with the move formally recorded on 4 August.

Concarneau’s signing adds a 24-year-old central defender to their squad, while Yatera takes up a position at a club competing in Ligue 3. The clubs involved are based in Belgium and France respectively, making the transfer an international move within European football.

Yatera’s move is therefore defined by three clear changes: a switch from Tubize-Braine to Concarneau, a move from the Belgian 1ste Nationale FFA to France’s Ligue 3, and a new club role for a defender whose listed position is centre-back.

The completed transfer places the Mauritanian-French player at Concarneau after his spell with Tubize-Braine.
