Former Algerian international, Hassan Yebda, has offered his perspective on one of the key reasons behind the national team’s elimination from the AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire, drawing from his previous experience.
In an interview with “El Nahar” television, Yebda highlighted, “Most players who compete in Europe are greatly affected by the climatic conditions in Africa.”
He went on to say, “Despite having some of the best players, Algeria was eliminated from the AFCON.
In my experience in Angola in 2009, the climatic conditions in Africa significantly impact the players’ performance.”
Yebda continued, “Players are accustomed to normal climatic conditions in Europe, and they find themselves playing in very high humidity at AFCON, which is a challenging and complicated situation.”
