Zamalek part ways with club-record foreign goalscorer Seifeddine Jaziri

Zamalek have mutually agreed to terminate the contract of Seifeddine Jaziri, allowing the 33-year-old striker to leave the Egyptian club as a free agent.

The agreement was completed amicably in the presence of Jaziri’s agent, Hazem Fetouh, with Zamalek settling the player’s contract by mutual consent.

Jaziri will depart as Zamalek’s all-time leading goalscorer among foreign players. He is now free to join any club without a transfer fee and can play for his new team during the 2026-27 season.

The Tunisia international joined Zamalek in 2021 from El Mokawloon, having established himself as an experienced forward in Egyptian football. Across his time with the Cairo-based club, he made 185 appearances, scoring 48 goals and providing 19 assists.

His final season at Zamalek brought 22 appearances and four goals.

Jaziri’s spell with the club included a successful period in domestic and continental competition. He won the Egyptian Premier League three times, the Egypt Cup twice, the CAF Super Cup once and the CAF Confederation Cup once.

The decision to end his contract brings to a close a five-year association during which Jaziri became an important figure in Zamalek’s attack and built a place in the club’s statistical history.

Zamalek confirmed the termination on Monday, 3 August 2026, after the two parties reached an agreement over the final settlement of his contract. The club did not announce a replacement or identify Jaziri’s next destination.

His departure means he will enter the new season available to any interested side without the need for a transfer agreement with Zamalek. The striker’s record of 48 goals makes him the club’s most prolific foreign-born scorer, while his overall contribution also includes 19 assists.

Jaziri’s honours with Zamalek include three league titles, two Egypt Cup successes and victories in African competition. He lifted the CAF Super Cup and the CAF Confederation Cup during his time at the club, adding to the domestic trophies secured in Cairo.

He leaves after making 22 appearances in the latest campaign, in which he scored four times, and with a total of 185 matches for Zamalek since arriving from El Mokawloon in 2021.
