FCSB linked with unattached Togo-Ghana defender Kennedy Boateng
Togo and Ghana centre-back Kennedy Boateng, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Romanian SuperLiga side FCSB.
The 29-year-old defender left FC Dinamo on 1 July 2026, having joined the Bucharest club from Austria Lustenau in July 2024. His departure came after two seasons with Dinamo, for whom he was signed on a free transfer.
Boateng has made 53 appearances in Romania’s top flight, scoring six goals and providing one assist. He also has experience in Portugal’s Liga Portugal, Austria’s Bundesliga and the Austrian second tier.
The 1.91m right-footed centre-back began his senior European career with LASK after moving from Ghanaian club WAFA SC in 2016. He later spent time with SV Ried and Santa Clara before returning to Austria and subsequently moving to Romania.
Boateng won the Austrian Second League twice, with LASK in 2016-17 and SV Ried in 2019-20. His current market value is listed at €1.2m.
He is now unattached, with FCSB the latest club linked with the defender.
