Egyptian right winger Islam Gamal has joined Mansoura from Tanta SC on a free transfer, strengthening the club’s attacking options ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Gamal completed the move on 2 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Mansoura that runs until 30 June 2028. The 32-year-old arrives after spending the 2025-26 campaign with Tanta, having joined the club earlier in his career after a period without a club.

The move adds an experienced player to Mansoura’s squad. Gamal has made 165 appearances in the Egyptian Premier League, scoring seven goals and providing 19 assists. He has also played six Egypt Cup matches, registering one assist.

Gamal’s career includes spells with several Egyptian clubs. Before joining Tanta, he had represented Pharco FC, Wadi Degla, Haras El Hodoud, Smouha, Talaea El Gaish and El Mahalla. His route through Egyptian football has included both permanent transfers and loan moves.

He first joined Smouha from Alassiouty SC in July 2015 in a deal worth €50,000. He subsequently spent time on loan with El Mahalla and Talaea El Gaish before returning to Smouha. In October 2021, he moved to Pharco FC, later joining Haras El Hodoud and Wadi Degla on loan during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.

After leaving Pharco FC in September 2024, Gamal became a free agent before signing for Tanta in February 2025. His latest move brings that spell to an end and gives Mansoura a wide attacker with extensive experience of Egyptian domestic competition.

Gamal has previously reached a recorded market value of €200,000, although no fee was involved in his move to Mansoura. The transfer represents a return to club football for the Egypt-born winger after his season with Tanta.

Mansoura have secured Gamal’s services through a free transfer, with the experienced winger committed to the club until June 2028.
