PSG make €33 million move for Japanese-Ghanaian goalkeeper Zion Suzuki

Paris Saint-Germain have taken a major step towards securing the signing of highly rated Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki after submitting an official offer worth €33 million to Parma.

The French champions are understood to have made Suzuki their preferred target as head coach Luis Enrique looks to reshape his goalkeeping department and identify a long-term solution between the posts.

Parma are reportedly prepared to move forward with the deal, with PSG’s proposal placing them ahead of Juventus in the race for the 23-year-old shot-stopper. The Serie A giants had also been monitoring Suzuki closely and held discussions with Parma, but the French club’s decision to submit the first formal bid could prove crucial in determining the player’s next destination.

Suzuki has emerged as one of the most sought-after young goalkeepers in European football following an impressive rise over the past year.
