Alban Bekombo: Franco-Cameroonian striker joins Racing CFF on free transfer

Racing CFF have signed Franco-Cameroonian centre-forward Alban Bekombo on a free transfer from Trouville-Deauville as they prepare for the new National 1 Group A campaign.

The 27-year-old, born in Caen and standing at 1.93m, moves up a division after impressing in the French lower leagues, where he has built a reputation as a consistent goalscorer across National 1 and National 2. He is primarily a central striker and prefers to play off his right foot.

Bekombo arrives at Racing CFF after a spell with Trouville-Deauville, whom he joined from SU Dives last summer, also on a free. His scoring record in recent seasons has been notable, with 22 goals in 38 National 2 Group D appearances in one campaign and 12 goals in 21 matches in National 2 Group F, underlining his ability to find the net regularly at that level.

He has also shown he can make an impact higher up the pyramid, contributing goals in National 1 and in the Coupe de France, where he has scored five times in eight outings. That productivity offers Racing CFF an additional attacking option as they seek to strengthen their forward line against stronger opposition.

Bekombo has spent his senior career moving through ambitious regional clubs, including AF Virois, AS Vitre, Chateaubriant and Mondeville, gradually working his way towards the national stage. His switch to Racing CFF is the latest step in that progression, and he now links up with the Paris-based side after completing his free transfer from Trouville-Deauville.
