Mathys Tourraine: Morocco-France right-back joins Pau FC from Paris FC on permanent deal

Morocco-France defender Mathys Tourraine has joined Pau FC from Paris FC in a permanent move, signing a contract with the Ligue 2 side until 30 June 2028. The 25-year-old right-back switches clubs ahead of the new campaign as Pau look to strengthen their defensive options on the flank.

Tourraine, born in Lyon and standing at 1.72m, leaves Paris FC after a spell that included two separate loans last season. He first moved temporarily to Rodez AF before finishing the 2025-26 campaign at Clermont Foot, returning to Paris at the end of each loan.

Primarily a right-back and preferring his right foot, Tourraine has built up significant experience in the French second tier. He has made 88 Ligue 2 appearances, scoring once and providing two assists, and has also featured in the Coupe de France. His consistent run of minutes at that level underlines the profile Pau FC have targeted for their back line.

Tourraine’s senior career has taken in a series of steps through French football. After time in the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, he spent periods without a club before rebuilding his pathway via AS Poissy and then Grenoble, eventually earning a move to Paris FC in 2024.

Now tied to Pau FC on a deal running to 2028, Tourraine becomes the club’s latest addition as they prepare for the forthcoming Ligue 2 season.
