Mohamed Jaouab: Morocco defender at Real Valladolid linked with Raja Casablanca move

Moroccan centre-back Mohamed Jaouab of Real Valladolid is being linked with a move to Raja Casablanca in the Botola Pro Inwi as the Casablanca club explore defensive reinforcements.

Jaouab, 24, is under contract with the Spanish side until 30 June 2028, meaning any agreement would require Raja to negotiate a transfer fee rather than target a free move. The defender is currently valued at around €600,000, a figure that is expected to shape any talks between the clubs if discussions progress.

The former Stade Rennais player only joined Real Valladolid on a free transfer on 1 August 2025, moving to Spain after a spell in French football that included time at Amiens. Since arriving in Europe from AM Football via Rennes’ reserve side, he has built up senior experience primarily in Ligue 2, where he made 35 appearances and registered one assist, before adding minutes in Spain’s second tier.

Born in Kasba Tadla and standing at 1.90m, Jaouab is viewed as a physically imposing, right-footed option at the heart of defence. His previous loan to Amiens from Rennes, which was later made permanent before he returned to Brittany, underlines how his development has already involved several moves in a short period.

For now, Jaouab remains a Valladolid player with three years left on his deal, and the Spanish club are under no immediate pressure to sell as Raja Casablanca weigh up whether to firm up their interest.
