Ethan Nwaneri: Arsenal and England midfielder linked with AC Milan move
Ethan Nwaneri, the England and Nigeria-eligible attacking midfielder currently at Arsenal, has been linked with a summer move to Serie A side AC Milan. The 19-year-old is attracting interest from the Italian club despite being under contract at Emirates Stadium until 30 June 2030.
Milan are monitoring Nwaneri as they assess options to strengthen their attacking midfield department, with the teenager’s development at Arsenal placing him on the radar of clubs outside the Premier League. Any approach is expected to be complicated by his long-term deal and the north London club’s strong negotiating position.
Nwaneri is currently valued at around €35 million, a figure likely to form the basis of Arsenal’s stance in any discussions. While there has been no indication that Arsenal are actively looking to sell, the Serie A side are understood to be exploring whether a deal could be structured to tempt the Premier League club into talks.
The midfielder has progressed through Arsenal’s ranks to establish himself in the first-team picture and has featured this season as part of Mikel Arteta’s attacking options. His age and contract length mean Arsenal could command a substantial fee if they were to consider a sale.
For now, Nwaneri remains tied to Arsenal for another four years, and any move would require agreement on a significant transfer package to prise him away from the Premier League club.
