Mohamed Aziz Ghrissi: Tunisian right-back joins ES Metlaoui on loan from Club Africain

Tunisian defender Mohamed Aziz Ghrissi has joined ES Metlaoui on loan from Club Africain, giving the Ligue 1 side a new option at right-back for the 2026-27 campaign. The 23-year-old moves on a temporary deal and is under contract with Metlaoui until 30 June 2027.

Ghrissi, born in Ariana and standing at 1.83m, operates primarily as a right-back and is right-footed. He arrives at Metlaoui after stepping up to senior level with Club Africain, having previously been part of their U21 set-up before earning promotion to the first team in 2024.

Last season, Ghrissi gained top-flight experience with Club Africain, making league appearances in both the regular Ligue 1 campaign and the Ligue I Pro playoff. Across those competitions he featured regularly, contributing an assist and accumulating close to 900 minutes of football, as well as scoring in the Tunisian Cup.

His development at Club Africain was capped by a league title in the 2025-26 season, with Ghrissi part of the squad that secured the Tunisian championship. His current market value is listed at €50,000, reflecting his status as a young defender with growing domestic experience.

The loan marks the first move of Ghrissi’s senior career away from Club Africain, with an agreement already in place for him to return to the Tunis club at the end of the 2026-27 season when the loan with ES Metlaoui expires.
