Najd Dabbebi: Tunisian forward joins ES Metlaoui on loan from Stade Tunisien
Tunisian centre-forward Najd Dabbebi has joined ES Metlaoui on loan from Ligue 1 rivals Stade Tunisien. The 20-year-old moves to Metlaoui for the 2026-27 season in a deal that runs until 30 June 2027.
Dabbebi, who was born in Tunis and stands at 1.87m, arrives after returning to Stade Tunisien earlier this summer at the end of a previous loan spell with US Ben Guerdane. His temporary switch to Metlaoui keeps him in the Tunisian top flight and gives him another opportunity for regular first-team football at senior level.
The forward’s market value is currently estimated at around €25,000, underlining his status as a young player still establishing himself in Ligue 1. His contract at ES Metlaoui is tied to the length of the loan, after which he is scheduled to return to Stade Tunisien.
Last season, Dabbebi featured in both the league and the Tunisian Cup, making a total of 16 appearances in all domestic competitions. He played 12 times in Ligue 1 and a further four matches in the cup, accumulating more than 650 minutes of competitive action across the campaign.
Dabbebi’s latest move marks his third consecutive season involving a change of club, following his initial loan to US Ben Guerdane in August 2025 and subsequent return to Stade Tunisien in June 2026. He will now look to continue his development at ES Metlaoui before his loan expires and he heads back to his parent side at the end of the 2026-27 season.
