Destiny Egharevba: Italy-Nigeria winger joins Picerno from Cittadella on permanent deal
Italy-Nigeria winger Destiny Egharevba has joined Picerno from Cittadella, completing a permanent move to the Serie C – C side. The 23-year-old right winger has signed a contract with the Basilicata club running until 30 June 2028.
Egharevba arrives at Picerno after a spell with Cittadella, who signed him on a free transfer from Renate in July 2025. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Giugliano before returning to Cittadella at the end of the campaign, and now makes a fresh start in a different Serie C group.
Born in Verona and eligible for both Italy and Nigeria, Egharevba has built up solid experience across Serie C and youth competitions. Operating primarily on the right flank and favouring his right foot, he has featured in all three Serie C groups during his career, scoring and assisting in each of his longer stints at that level.
His development included time in the academies of Chievo and Fiorentina, where he played in Primavera 1 and Primavera 2 and also appeared in the Coppa Primavera and Supercoppa Primavera. Senior experience followed through a series of loans from Fiorentina to Vis Pesaro, Fiorenzuola and Recanatese before his move to Renate and subsequent step up to Cittadella.
Across league and cup competitions, Egharevba has amassed more than 150 appearances, with notable scoring returns in Primavera 2 and Serie C Group C. Standing at 1.83m, he adds height and versatility to Picerno’s attacking options on the wings.
Egharevba’s switch to Picerno is effective immediately, with the winger tied to the club for the next two seasons.
